Job Description Job Description Job Title: CDL Driver (Commercial Driver's License) Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver to transport goods efficiently and on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving record, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to following all transportation regulations and company policies. This position requires overnight travel as indicated under Working Conditions below. Key Responsibilities: * Operate commercial vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, box trucks) safely and in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations * Ensure compliance with DOT regulations by stopping at all required weigh stations * Transport goods to and from designated locations in a timely manner * Operate tilt level flatbed truck with chains and tie downs * Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle * Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and inspections * Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and unloaded * Load and unload a forklift * Operate a forklift to remove equipment in and out of buildings * Load and unload material as needed at job sites and warehouse * Assist in the unpacking and packing of equipment * Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members professionally * Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or delays promptly * Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures Requirements: * Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (Class A or B, as required) * Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years * Forklift certification is a plus * Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening * Ability to pass random drug screenings * Proven experience as a CDL driver * Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations * Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks as needed * Communicate proficiently using the English language * Possess strong organizational skills * Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) * Familiarity with regional or long-haul routes Working Conditions: * Long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed * Extended periods of sitting and driving * Exposure to varying weather conditions * Overtime opportunities * Per diem for overnight travel
