Job Description
Job Opportunity Position: Respiratory Therapist Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering comprehensive cardiopulmonary services to both inpatients and outpatients, adhering to approved protocols established by the medical staff and department policies. This position requires either registration or certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians with both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
- Administer medicated aerosols using medical compressed gas.
- Maintain patient airways and manage ventilators.
- Perform the insertion of arterial lines and intubations.
- Conduct pulmonary function studies.
- Facilitate cardiac and pulmonary stress tests.
- Analyze blood gas results.
- Must possess either NBRC RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) certification.
- Must hold an active Respiratory Therapy license in Arkansas.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required, obtained through the American Heart Association.
