Warehouse Manager

A growing manufacturer within the specialty chemicals industry is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse operations, logistics coordination, and inventory management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will lead a team of approximately six employees and play a critical role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient movement of materials throughout the operation.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations for inbound and outbound materials
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of approximately six warehouse personnel
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling activities
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping paperwork, and inventory documentation
- Oversee hazardous materials storage, labeling, handling, and transportation in accordance with DOT, OSHA, and other applicable regulations
- Partner closely with operations, customer service, procurement, and production teams to ensure smooth logistics flow
- Manage freight scheduling, carrier relationships, and shipment coordination
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and warehouse organization initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement efforts related to warehouse efficiency, safety, and cost control
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements
- Monitor KPIs related to shipping accuracy, inventory performance, and warehouse productivity
- 5+ years of warehouse and/or logistics leadership experience within manufacturing, chemicals, flavors, ingredients, food, or related industries
- Prior experience supervising warehouse personnel in a hands-on operational environment
- Strong understanding of Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping documentation, and freight coordination
- Experience handling and shipping hazardous materials required
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and hazmat compliance regulations
- Inventory management and warehouse systems experience preferred
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift certification or experience preferred
- Specialty chemicals, flavors, ingredients, food manufacturing, or industrial manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Experience working within regulated manufacturing or distribution environments
- ERP/WMS system experience is a plus
