Job Details Job Location: North Syracuse - North Syracuse, NY 13212 Position Type: Per Diem Education Level: None Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.00 Hourly Self-Direction DSP - North Syracuse Area (Job #ES/ST) Position Overview ARISE is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the North Syracuse area with a young adult male who has an intellectual disability and Autism. The DSP will provide support both in the home and in the community, encouraging him and participating in community activities together, exploring his interests and hobbies, and working on independent living skills. Responsibilities Schedule: up to 10 hours a week. Preferred days: Monday and/or Friday with flexibility. The family is requesting that the DSP start with one shift a week and then increase to multiple shifts as the service continues and is successful. The DSP will assist with finding new activities, motivate him to try new things, and focus on community engagement. Qualifications Must have a valid drivers license Effective communication and organizational skills required Flexibility with assignments and schedule required Reliable transportation to arrive at job site at scheduled time Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy Pay Rate $20 per hour.
