Contract- 6+ Months
Client- Southern Company services.
About the Role
Responsibilities
Project & Delivery Management
- Lead cross-functional technology projects from initiation through implementation
- Define project scope, milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
- Coordinate project activities across technical, product, and business teams
- Track project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
- Manage project risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including:
- Sprint Planning
- Daily Standups
- Retrospectives
- Backlog Reviews
- Support Agile project execution and delivery planning
- Help teams prioritize work and maintain delivery timelines
- Support cloud migration and modernization projects
- Coordinate projects involving:
- Data pipelines
- Data platforms
- Dev / UAT / Production environments
- Cloud deployments
- Assist with documenting deployment and pipeline creation processes
- Partner with:
- Engineering teams
- Product owners
- Data teams
- Business stakeholders
- Provide visibility into project health, timelines, and delivery status
- Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- 5-10 years of IT Project Management experience
- Experience managing Agile / Scrum projects
- Strong project planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience leading cross-functional enterprise technology initiatives
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with:
- Cloud computing projects
- On-prem to cloud migrations
- Enterprise data platforms
- Databricks deployments
- Familiarity with:
- Data medallion architecture
- Data security
- Data governance
- Pipeline orchestration
- Experience using:
- Jira
- Azure DevOps
- Agile delivery tools
- Utilities
- Energy
- Power Generation
- Enterprise IT environments
