Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mother Baby/Postpartum RN for a night shift position requiring OB experience and AWHONN, NRP, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
Details
Work in the Maternity Care Center on the 2 West OBGYN unit
Unit includes 9 LDR beds, 8 PP/GYN beds, 2 OR suites, and a 23-bed wellborn nursery
Couplet patient ratio of 3 couplets per nurse
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Typical procedures include labor and delivery, cesarean sections, postpartum and newborn care, OBED triage, and inductions
Uses Corometrics fetal monitoring equipment
Charts in Centricity Perinatal and Meditech EMR systems
Floating limited to within the unit only
Weekend rotation of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule (Friday/Saturday nights, Saturday/Sunday days)
No on-call requirement, though extra shifts may be available
Requirements
Active VA or compact RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent OB experience required
Cesarean section experience (circulator, 1st assist, or scrub) preferred
US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
Provide direct care to postpartum and newborn patients, including couplet care and nursery coverage
Scrubs are provided by the facility
Best suited for energetic, self-directed nurses
Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and local candidates will not be considered
