Senior Financial Planning Analyst

Position Summary We are seeking a results-driven Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join our Finance team. This role is a critical partner to the CFO and operational leadership, providing analytical insight across cost accounting, FP&A, budgeting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings deep manufacturing finance experience — ideally within steel, metals, or heavy industrial sectors — and is highly proficient in SAP or comparable ERP platforms. Key Responsibilities Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting cycles across all business units Develop and maintain rolling financial models to project revenue, cost, and cash flow Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. prior year) and present findings to senior leadership Prepare executive-level financial presentations and board reporting packages Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance Manage and maintain the standard costing system, including cost rollups, BOM reviews, and overhead rate analysis Analyze manufacturing variances — purchase price, labor efficiency, overhead absorption — and identify corrective actions Partner with plant operations to drive cost reduction initiatives and improve gross margin Support month-end close activities including inventory valuation, WIP analysis, and COGS reconciliation ERP & Systems Leverage SAP (FI/CO modules) to extract, analyze, and report financial data Maintain and improve financial reporting tools, dashboards, and models in Excel and Power BI Partner with IT and operations to enhance ERP data integrity and reporting automation Business Partnering & Ad Hoc Analysis Serve as a financial business partner to supply chain, procurement, and operations teams Support capital expenditure analysis, ROI modeling, and project-level financial tracking Assist in annual audit preparation, internal controls documentation, and compliance activities Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA a plus) 5–6 years of progressive financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated expertise in cost accounting and standard costing methodologies Strong proficiency in SAP (FI/CO modules) or equivalent ERP system Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, financial modeling); Power BI or Tableau experience preferred Experience in the steel, metals, or industrial manufacturing sector strongly preferred Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for nonfinance stakeholders Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with oil & gas tubular or line pipe products Familiarity with GAAP inventory accounting (FIFO, weighted average, standard cost) Experience supporting multi-site or multi-entity manufacturing operations Welspun Tubular LLC offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, including: Competitive base salary aligned with manufacturing industry benchmarks Annual performance bonus tied to individual and company results Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off, holidays, and professional development support #J-18808-Ljbffr
