DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position supports transportation maintenance operations by providing cleaning, upkeep, and care for Department facilities and grounds. As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties: General Cleaning: Perform non specialized cleaning of lavatories, offices, garages, and meeting spaces Building Upkeep: Carry out tasks such as waste collection, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, washing windows, and floor care Grounds Maintenance: Operate small tools and equipment to mow grass, trim vegetation, and maintain planted areas Seasonal Tasks: Clear snow and ice from walkways, remove leaves, and address minor storm damage Basic Repairs: Replace light bulbs and complete simple repairs or report maintenance needs to supervisors Documentation Duties: Complete required forms and maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and packing slips Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,010 (before taxes).
