You may review, modify, or update your information by visiting and logging into the careers section of the system.Job Description:At Regions, the Debt Advisory Lead leads and expands the firm’s debt capital advisory platform while managing relationships with private equity sponsors across the middle market. This role drives origination, client coverage, transaction execution, and strategic growth initiatives. This role requires deep leveraged finance expertise and a proven record of advising clients on capital structure solutions.Primary ResponsibilitiesAdvises clients on capital structure optimization, refinancing, acquisition financing, recapitalizations, and other credit‑related transactionsDevelops market insights and strengthens relationships with lenders across banks, credit funds, and alternative capital providersLeads the debt advisory platform including origination, structuring, and executionCultivates and grows relationships with private equity sponsors while serving as the primary point of contactDevelops an understanding of sponsor investment theses, fund strategies, portfolio companies, and acquisition needsProvides proactive ideas, financing capabilities, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) insights to support long‑term partnership developmentDrives the origination of debt advisory mandates and sponsor‑driven M&A or financing opportunitiesLeads the development of pitches, financial analysis, and client meetingsRepresents the firm at industry conferences and networking events to enhance brand presenceSupports debt advisory activities for sponsor and corporate clientsOversees execution teams to ensure the delivery of financial models, offering materials, lender lists, and process documentationNegotiates term sheets, covenants, pricing, and transaction structures with lenders on behalf of clientsProvides strategic oversight of lender processes, due diligence efforts, and closing documentationManages and mentors bankers across levels to support skill development and performanceRecruits talent and builds a collaborative, high‑performing culturePromotes collaboration across mergers and acquisitions, industry coverage, and capital markets teamsContributes to strategic initiatives to expand debt advisory and sponsor coverage capabilitiesSupports the development of thought leadership, internal market updates, and product expertiseParticipates in annual planning, budgeting, and revenue forecastingRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related fieldTen (10) years of experience in investment banking, private credit, leveraged finance, or a related disciplineExperience leading debt advisory engagements and managing sponsor relationshipsExperience recruiting, mentoring, and developing high‑performing teamsPreferencesExperience leading middle‑market leveraged finance transactionsEstablished network of lender and private equity sponsor relationshipsChartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or other relevant credentialsSkills and CompetenciesAbility to lead collaborativelyExcellent client-management skillsExcellent relationship building and presentation skillsProficiency in financial modelingStrong analytical and strategic thinking skillsStrong business development capabilitiesStrong executive presenceStrong negotiation skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsPosition TypeFull timeCompensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions.
