Finance Service Desk Analyst About the Role RSM is looking for a Finance Service Desk Analyst to join our Finance Technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-to mid-career professional (0–3+ years of experience) with an interest in finance, accounting, and technology. In this role, you’ll serve as the first point of contact for users across the firm, helping them navigate and troubleshoot finance applications and data. You’ll gain valuable exposure to enterprise financial systems while building foundational skills in problem-solving, communication, and client service. What You’ll Do Provide first-level support for finance applications and finance-related data inquiries Respond to user questions via phone, email, and ticketing systems in a timely and professional manner Troubleshoot issues, document resolutions, and ensure accurate tracking in incident management systems Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams while maintaining ownership of the user experience Support initiatives to improve data accuracy and data quality Actively contribute to and utilize the knowledge base to enhance team efficiency and user self-service Collaborate with Finance, IT, and cross-functional teams in a team-oriented environment Why Join This Team Build a strong foundation in finance systems and technology early in your career Gain hands-on experience with tools like Workday and other enterprise finance applications Be part of a supportive, high-performing team that values learning and development Access RSM’s robust learning programs and career growth opportunities Make an impact by helping colleagues across the firm do their best work What You Bring Interest in accounting, finance, or business systems, with a basic understanding of financial concepts Strong customer service mindset and a genuine desire to help others Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills Comfort with Microsoft Office and general technology tools Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related field 0–3 years of experience in a help desk, customer support, or similar environment (internships included) Experience with Workday or other finance systems is a plus such as Oracle are preferred Additional Information Location flexibility: baseline expectation that employees and owners may perform work from home, an office, a client site, or other relevant business locations, with in‑person attendance required when business needs, collaboration, client service, development, or travel warrant it. Working from home frequently or primarily does not change this expectation. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
