Sewing Machine Operator


Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a prominent business in the Lee County MS area is seeking Sewer to join their team! This customer is offering a wide range of perks such as full benefits, 401K, and profit sharing! This is a direct hire opportunity.


Sewing Machine Operator Job Summary:


• Pay: $14.00 per hour


• Shifts Available:


o 1st shift Monday- Friday 6am-3:30pm (over time may be required)
Qualifications

• Operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment to sew fabric covers, cushions, foam products, and fiber-filled components.
• Read and follow work orders, production schedules, and product specifications.
• Measure, align, and position materials to ensure accurate assembly.
• Inspect materials and finished products for defects and quality compliance.
• Trim excess threads and materials to maintain product appearance and quality.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and routine maintenance as required.
• Work with foam, fiber, fabric, vinyl, and other upholstery-related materials.
• Meet established daily production goals while maintaining quality standards.
• Report equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or quality concerns to supervisors.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Assist with other production tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous industrial sewing experience required
• Ability to operate industrial sewing equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read measuring devices and follow written instructions.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
