Job Description

Customer Sales Associate Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer emails in a timely and professional manner
• Assist customers at the counter with product inquiries, pricing information, and order placement
• Develop and maintain strong HVAC product knowledge to provide accurate technical guidance and recommendations
• Process customer orders, quotes, and service requests with accuracy and attention to detail
• Identify sales opportunities and upsell complementary products and services to maximize customer value
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty
• Document customer interactions and maintain detailed records in the company database
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns professionally, escalating complex issues to management when necessary
• Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
• Follow up with customers post-purchase to confirm satisfaction and address any additional needs
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, pricing, and product availability
• Contribute to a fast-paced, customer-focused work environment with strong organizational and time management skills

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proficient computer skills with demonstrated ability to operate business software and database systems
• Reliable personal transportation
• Proven warehouse experience in shipping and receiving operations
• Certified forklift operation skills
• Minimum 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or commercial environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customer bases
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

Required Competencies:

• Advanced time management and organizational capabilities to effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment
• Commitment to maintaining a standard 5-day work week with demonstrated flexibility for occasional weekend shifts and extended hours as operational requirements dictate
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve customer concerns professionally and courteously
• Attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders, quotes, and maintaining customer records

Preferred Qualifications:

• Established HVAC product knowledge and technical expertise
• Previous experience in the HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical equipment industry
• Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems or similar database platforms
• Sales achievement record demonstrating ability to identify and capitalize on upselling opportunities
