Retail and Reservations Manager Full time store Manager position at our beautiful Lake Shore Resort! Outdoor Adventures is looking to add new team members to its roster of motivated employees! A successful employee in the Retail & Reservations Manager role must show advanced leadership qualities to effectively communicate goals and objectives to their team. Working in tandem with the Regional Store Manager to maintain proper inventory levels, provide regular updates on store profitability, and serving members when they have on-site service needs will be necessary for the Retail & Reservations Manager to accomplish. Engaging with our members is of prime importance and needs to be the focal point of the store’s strategy and mission. Starting rate for this role is $15 an hour. Responsibilities: Build a good rapport with the Regional Store Manager to collaborate on all store-related goals and initiatives Supervise, train, and assist Store employees in customer service, store maintenance, and product promotions Exude strong leadership when overseeing employees within the Store department Coach and mentor underperforming Store staff members Understanding the overall needs of the resort by collaborating with the Resort Manager Plan and direct the day-to-day operations of the store Develop strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, increase profitability, create store policies and marketing programs that will increase sales and grow the existing customer base Maintain high store standards and conditions and foster a positive environment Welcome visitors and assign locations according to guests’ booking; provide additional information about the Resort and its amenities Make certain that customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient Ensure all products and displays are merchandised effectively Collaborate with Resort Housekeeping staff to ensure Cabins/Park Models are cleaned, organized, and furnished prior to guests’ arrival Update Camplife records of payments and bookings Keep all public spaces neat and tidy Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered on job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience; or knowledge, skills, and mental ability equivalent to two (2) years of high school education At least two (2) years of customer service experience One (1) year of front desk experience in the hospitality industry; familiarity with resort check-in software Available to work both night and weekend shifts Previous experience in a retail environment preferred; training will be provided Able to assist customers/guests when needed Organized and able to follow a schedule Able to follow verbal directions Ability to lift up to 25 to 30 pounds Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with ability to stand for long lengths of time Company Benefits Outdoor Adventures is willing to generously compensate individuals who are able to show both the leadership and attention-to-detail qualities that are needed for the Store Clerk position.
