Fleet Maintenance Mechanic II

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The City is seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet Maintenance Mechanic II to help keep its diverse fleet safe, reliable, and ready to serve the community. This journey-level position performs diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and equipment outfitting on automobiles, police vehicles, trucks, heavy equipment, and other specialized equipment.

The position works primarily at the Corporation Yard and requires independent judgment and experience with gasoline, diesel, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

• HS diploma or equivalent 
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience performing fleet maintenance repair
