Certified Massage Therapist - Prenatal & Postnatal

Job Title: Pre and Post Natal Massage Therapist Reporting to: Operations Director Job Summary The One Tribe Massage Therapist will be responsible for performing massage therapy techniques to control pain, reduce stress, and promote relaxation for the clients. This position works directly with clients, employees, and managers to carry out procedures ensuring an efficient back of the house client processing flow, while ensuring guest satisfaction. Additionally, the therapist obtains a client’s basic medical history, assesses their issues, and conditions, and recommends appropriate massage techniques based on their current health. Job duties includes but are not limited to: Administers Prenatal and General therapeutic massage Intake of clients to gather medical information, assessing clients’ soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength and range of motion Performs therapeutic massage therapy treatments to clients using hands or physical aids, massaging muscles, and soft tissues of the body to provide relief Prepares and blends various oils for application to the skin via a carrier oil (as appropriate) Confers with clients about their medical history and issues with stress or pain to determine how massage will be most effective Provides clients with guidance and information about techniques for postural improvement, stretching, strengthening, relaxation and rehabilitation Collaborates with Expert Providers such as physical therapists, chiropractors, physicians, etc. to develop a treatment plan both within the integrative health team and outside of it Ensures cleanliness of treatment rooms Supports Management Team by utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and encourage others; advocates sound business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand client needs, providing guidance and feedback. Interacts with clients to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels. Requirements & Qualifications HS diploma or GED Minimum 5 years of relevant experience Currently licensed and in Good Standing in the state of Florida Certification or efficiency in Pre and Postnatal Massage techniques Able to work collaboratively as a team member including understanding of their contribution and limitations to patient care Respects and has willingness to learn from other providers Willingness to think creatively about the effective delivery of care with a goal of improving client outcomes. Commitment to lifelong learning and sharing of information. Orientation towards continually refining practice via continuing education as required by the state of Florida. Ability and willingness to be self-reflective and receptive to feedback. Passion for wellness industry and women’s health Both English and Spanish speaking preferred Physical Requirements Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 30 pounds. Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
