Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Washington, Issaquah 08/05/2026 Contract Active Job Description: JOB TITLE: NICU Nurse JOB SUMMARY: Seeking a qualified NICU Nurse to provide specialized care to critically ill newborns. This role involves close monitoring, treatment, and support for premature and term infants requiring intensive medical intervention. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to critically ill newborns in a Level II NICU setting. Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform treatments as ordered. Manage unstable newborns, including those 32 weeks gestation and greater. Attend all deliveries and high-risk deliveries to provide immediate neonatal support. Administer breathing treatments, chest tube care, CPAP/BiPAP, and procedure sedation. Assist with Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI) and manage cooling/warming blankets. Care for patients with drains, feeding tubes, PICC/Central lines, and syringe pumps. Provide care related to GYN surgeries, couplet care, and transition nursery. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Educate families on infant care, diagnosis, and treatment plans. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record. Schedule / Shift Weekends are required to meet staffing needs. Required Qualifications Must have at least 1 year of NICU experience. First-time travelers are not accepted. Experience Level II NICU experience required. Experience with unstable newborns (32 weeks gestation and greater). Experience attending all deliveries and high-risk deliveries.
