Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in an ambulatory setting, focusing on chemotherapy administration and post-operative triage. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy treatments and monitor patients during infusion sessions.
• Triage and call post-operative patients to assess recovery progress and address concerns.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in medical records.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, especially related to chemo handling and infection control.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medication side effects, and post-care instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold a CA RN license in good standing at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years' ambulatory oncology RN experience, with strong chemo knowledge.
• BLS certification required; chemo certification preferred.
• Experience with hepatobiliary and surgical cases, including post-op patient triage.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills and ability to follow detailed protocols.
• First-time travelers with 3+ years of oncology experience are accepted.
