ENT (Otolaryngology) Physician - Hybrid Hospitalist & Outpatient Role
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Our organization, in partnership with a prestigious medical school, is on the lookout for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Otolaryngologist to become part of our expanding Department of Otolaryngology. This unique position merges inpatient ENT hospitalist responsibilities with outpatient general otolaryngology practice.
The Department of Otolaryngology is renowned nationally for its outstanding clinical care, research, and educational initiatives, fostering a collaborative atmosphere for physicians keen on both clinical practice and academic growth.
This full-time role provides a chance to develop a well-rounded clinical practice within one of the top academic health systems in the country, while also engaging in teaching, research, and multidisciplinary patient care. Responsibilities will include inpatient care at a leading university hospital and outpatient practice at a community medical center.
Position Highlights- Engage in a hybrid practice model that integrates inpatient and outpatient care, with access to cutting-edge facilities and a robust referral network within a large healthcare system.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment with dedicated support from experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Obtain an academic appointment with the medical school to contribute to resident and fellow education, clinical research, scholarly activities, and institutional initiatives.

- Qualifications: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Otolaryngology with a valid Georgia medical license and DEA, or the ability to secure them. Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, along with an interest in academic medicine and collaborative care, are essential. All experience levels are encouraged to apply.
Inpatient ENT Hospitalist Care:
- Deliver consultative and procedural care at a flagship tertiary care facility.
- Manage common ENT consultations, including airway evaluations, vocal cord injections, and bedside procedures.
- Receive support from experienced PAs who assist with consultations, care coordination, and inpatient management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for the care of complex patients, including immunocompromised transplant populations.
Outpatient Clinical Practice:
- Work at the newly established community-based clinic, offering a full range of ENT services.
- Provide general ENT care for patients of all ages, including office-based procedures and management of benign and malignant conditions.
- The clinic is equipped with audiology services, a dedicated audiology booth, and ultrasound capabilities.
- The hybrid schedule is adaptable based on the physician's interests and experience, typically consisting of 3-4 days of inpatient hospitalist care and 2-3 days of outpatient clinic work.
- Day shift hospitalist coverage from 7 AM to 5 PM, with APPs managing first-call duties and after-hours cases handled by the on-call team, ensuring a predictable daytime schedule.
- Outpatient call averages 5-6 shifts per month.
