Supports all production/facility equipment during normal operation, performs preventive maintenance on all equipment, and maintains facility in top condition.

Starfire Lumber has an immediate opening for Millwright Journey Level. Position pay is Top Tier for Industry standards for the right candidate based on experience and skill level. We require three to five years verifiable experience in Industrial Manufacturing Maintenance/Millwrighting.

Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair mechanical systems in a sawmill environment. Communicates need for major repairs or additions to equipment to appropriate manager. Responds in a timely fashion to problems related to facility maintenance and repair. Makes recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities. Maintains a clean, safe working environment. Possesses and maintains a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass a drug screen including THC. Must be willing to work some Saturdays. Three to five years verifiable experience in Industrial Manufacturing Maintenance/Millwrighting. Must have basic hand tools. Working knowledge of hydraulics & pneumatics. Must have good welding skills. Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and industrial maintenance. Must be able to follow all safety protocols. Ability to work at heights and in inclement weather. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to manage priorities and workflow. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams. Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance. Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions. Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.

Frequently required to stand. Frequently required to walk. Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity. Frequently required to lift/push/carry items more than 50 pounds. Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally work in high places.
