Oculoplastic Surgeon, Department of OphthalmologyThe University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, in partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, is seeking an academic Assistant/Associate/Professor of Ophthalmology as an Oculoplastic surgeon for a part-time, non-tenure track position. The oculoplastics service is an active faculty group performing cases ranging from simple cosmetic and functional procedures to complex orbital and reconstructive surgery. Since resident education is a prominent feature in the oculoplastics service, enthusiasm for teaching is preferred for this position.The successful applicant will be provided with a competitive salary and benefits, and the final faculty rank/title will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.Essential Functions:Perform clinical duties in Ophthalmology and Oculoplastics.Participate in the operating room and outpatient clinic.Advise and train fellows, residents, and medical students.Demonstrate a commitment to an academic career through research, teaching, and supporting the department's academic mission.Attend departmental and divisional meetings as relevant, to include participation in grand rounds and educational conferences.Minimum Requirements:MD/DO or equivalentCompletion of an accredited residency in OphthalmologyCompletion of Oculoplastic FellowshipBoard eligible or Board certified in OphthalmologyLicensure by the Ohio Medical Board is required at the time of appointmentCompensation and Benefits:UC offers an exceptional benefits package designed to support your well-being, financial security, and work-life balance.
