Pharmacology Associate I

Job Title: Pharmacology Associate I Location: Cambridge, MA Type: Contract Compensation: $30 - $32.50/hr Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 40.0 Overview The main function of a Pharmacology Associate is to support drug development and research by conducting in vivo studies, laboratory experiments, analyzing pharmacological data, and assisting in the evaluation of drug efficacy. A typical In Vivo Pharmacology Associate works closely with scientists and cross-functional teams to advance therapeutic programs. Responsibilities Execute in vivo pharmacology studies in support of metabolic disease research programs. Perform rodent handling and support animal-based research activities in a vivarium environment. Assist with study execution, data collection, and experimental procedures. Conduct tissue collection and downstream tissue processing activities. Analyze and organize experimental data using standard scientific software tools. Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to support research objectives. Maintain accurate experimental records and documentation. Follow established laboratory, animal care, and safety procedures. Participate in team discussions and contribute to project advancement. Requirements Bachelor's or master’s degree in pharmacology, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Animal Science, or a related scientific discipline. Hands-on experience conducting in vivo studies. Experience handling rodents and performing animal research procedures. Strong technical laboratory skills and willingness to learn new techniques. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
