This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a broad foundation in accounting through hands-on experience across multiple accounting functions. The successful candidate will participate in a rotational learning environment, gaining exposure to direct bill accounting, carrier receivables, carrier payables, commission processing, vendor payables, reconciliations, and month-end accounting activities. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys problem-solving, has a strong attention to detail, and is looking to build a long-term career in accounting while learning the operational and financial processes that support a growing insurance brokerage. This position requires the ability to work in-person, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To Process and post commission statements, bank deposits, and carrier payments. Communicate with the client services team and Account Managers to resolve direct bill and invoicing/billing issues within Agency Management System. Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, direct bill commissions, payables, etc. Research and resolves any issues that might be uncovered by reconciliations. Working with confidential data. Perform other related duties as assigned. May be required to work additional hours during month-end reporting to meet company deadlines. Requirements What is Needed Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interpret abstract information. Demonstrate ability to take initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment. Confident, self-starter who works independently. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and multi-task. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Qualifications Needed High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in finance or accounting preferred. Minimum of one (1) - two (2) years accounting experience required, preferably in a shared services accounting environment.
