Position Description: Position Title: Marketing Intern Department Name: Brand Marketing FLSA Status: Hourly Employment Type: Full-time Wage Range: $21.30 Reports to: Marketing Manager Location: Zumiez Home Office -- Lynnwood, WA [in person, in office] Effective Date: 09/08/2026 Benefits:Product Discount, Paid Sick Time (following an initial waiting period) Position Overview: We're Zumiez, a 650+ store leading specialty retailer of apparel, footwear, accessories and hardgoods for young men and women who want to express their individuality through the fashion, music, art and culture of action sports, street wear and other unique lifestyles. The Zumiez Marketing department is looking for a dedicated and ambitious marketing intern to join the team in supporting all areas of marketing events. The marketing intern will work directly with the Brand Marketing Team to help research and execute physical and digital events to blow the minds of our customers and employees. The Zumiez Brand Marketing team contributes to the customer brand experience by planning and hosting events, operating The Zumiez Stash rewards program, and managing communication channels. In all of those initiatives, we get to partner with the best brands in action sports and streetwear. This internship timeline is flexible and we can work on the exact timeframe during the hiring process, but generally it would be from October 2026 through January 2027 and offer you the opportunity to get your feet wet in a wide range of marketing initiatives. You will contribute to Marketing events and promotions, The Zumiez Stash rewards program, and research projects for the future of the organization. Principal Responsibilities: AssistwithallZumiez marketinginitiatives Assistinideation and execution ofcreative activations forevents Support marketing team in production of event materials, props/décor, and signage for both internal & external events/promos Assistin general marketing research projects including gathering and sortinginformation and building reports/researchdocuments Participate in back-end operations for The Zumiez Stash program with heavy involvement in helping the program manage rewards andsweepstakes Learn the basics of all areas of the Marketing department, helpingwithlogisticsand administrative tasksas needed to execute projects effectively andsuccessfully Help withtranscription for internal events and meetings What kind of person will thrive in this role? Individuals with a desire to connect with our communities (Our brands, employees, and customers) Individuals who have empathy for a diversity of perspective and like seeing things from multiple points of view Individuals who are flexible and adaptable to new information in a fast-paced environment Individuals who are generally positive and upbeat Qualifications: Required Pursuing aBA/BS in Marketing related field or previous Zumiez Experience Knowledge of action sports lifestyle (emphasis in skate, snow, music, and art), and market trends/opportunities Strong interest in learning across multiple areas of marketing Complete willingness to support multiple disciplines and levels of a marketing team Great attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through Ability to stay focused and work independently (self-starter) and as part of a team Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, and to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment Good decision making and problem-solving skills Strong computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Powerpoint, & Outlook Good oral and written communication skills Valid Driver's License Willingness to travel and work over weekends and holidays when necessary Able support on fulfillment/shipping as needed and able to lift 50+ lbs Preferred Retail experience Experience with digital events or building online communities (Twitch, Discord, TikTok, etc) #J-18808-Ljbffr
