J&L Plumbing and Air is a established plumbing and HVAC company serving the greater Phoenix valley. We run a high-volume service operation with a strong home warranty division, working as an authorized contractor for Choice Home Warranty (CHW), Old Republic (ORHP), American Home Shield (AHS), HWA, 2-10, and Assurant — alongside a steady book of direct residential and commercial work.

We are not a fly-by-night outfit. Our techs run full boards with dispatch support, and there is real income upside for people who work clean, communicate well, and close.

The Role

You will be running residential service and warranty dispatch calls across the valley — diagnosing, repairing, and replacing plumbing systems in occupied homes. This is a mix of warranty authorizations and out-of-pocket work, which means you need to be comfortable both working within warranty coverage guidelines and selling legitimate upgrades and non-covered repairs.

Day to day you will:

• Run 5–8 residential service calls per day, dispatched to your phone
• Diagnose and repair water heaters, tankless units, drain lines, faucets, fixtures, disposals, toilets, water lines, gas lines, and re-pipes
• Document findings thoroughly with photos and clear notes for warranty authorization
• Communicate directly with warranty company authorization departments
• Present and sell non-covered repairs, upgrades, and out-of-pocket options
• Collect service call fees and payment at time of service
• Keep your truck stocked, clean, and organized
• Maintain a professional presence in customers' homes

What We Require

• 2+ years of hands-on residential plumbing service experience (non-negotiable)
• Valid Arizona driver's license and a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Solid diagnostic ability — you can walk into an unfamiliar house and figure it out
• Comfort with a smartphone/tablet for dispatch, photos, invoicing, and notes
• Professional appearance and customer-facing communication skills
• Own hand tools
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs, work in attics, crawl spaces, and Arizona summer heat

What Sets You Apart

• Prior home warranty experience — you already know how authorization works and what gets denied
• Water heater and tankless expertise (Rinnai, Navien, Rheem, Bradford White)
• Gas line and combustion experience
• Drain camera and locating experience
• Existing sales track record with a measurable close rate or average ticket
• Bilingual English/Spanish

Compensation

Base Pay with Commission: Range from $75,000–$125,000 annually, depending on experience and performance

Bonuses:

• Monthly performance bonus tied to close rate and average ticket
• Callback/recall bonus for clean first-time fixes
• Customer review bonus
• On-call and weekend premium pay

Bonuses are paid on top of the range above. Our top performers consistently land at the high end.

Schedule
