Summary
Manufacturing Technicians produce FastPack test kits. They operate machines that produce and fill test pouches, seal parts onto the pouches, fill and label small vials, and package everything into kit boxes. All work follows written instructions and FDA rules. This is an entry-level temporary position with the possibility of a full-time hire.

Duties

• Operate machines that produce, fill, and seal pouches.
• Operate heat sealing machines.
• Load parts and materials into machines and monitor them during operation.
• Fill and label vials.
• Operate labeling machines.
• Package pouches and vials into kits.
• Account for finished product and materials used.
• Perform regular inventory counts.
• Enter production data into the computer system.
• Fill out production records accurately as work is done.
• Keep machines and work areas clean, and report machine problems.
• Notify supervisor when supplies run low.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Follows written instructions
• Basic math and neat, accurate record keeping.
• Clear speaking and writing.

Preferred

• Experience in FDA-regulated manufacturing.
• Lab experience, including safety practices.

Physical Requirements

• Wear lab coats and other protective clothing.
• Stand for long periods.
• Do repeated hand tasks.
• Lift up to 35 lbs.
