Job Description\n Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Macon, Georgia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/21/2026\n Duration: 12 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $1880\n $500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS\n \n Opportunity:\n RN - Med Surg/Tele\n Job Details:\n • 12-hour shifts available, either 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM\n • Weekend rotation required: 5-6 weekend shifts out of every 12 shifts on a 6-week schedule cycle\n • No on-call responsibilities\n • Holiday expectations: must work one shift of each major holiday (Thanksgiving Day or day after, 12/24 or 12/25, and 12/31 or 1/1)\n • Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience required\n • First-time travelers accepted\n • Patient ratio: RN 1:4-6, LPN 1:4-6, CNA 2-3 per shift\n • Required certifications: BLS and Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR) — must pass EKG competency exam as part of compliance\n • ACLS preferred\n • National certification in Medical-Surgical or Nephrology Nursing preferred\n • Care for orthopedic and trauma patients, post-op surgeries, and patients with acute or chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, CHF, and electrolyte imbalances\n • Required skills include trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucommander, insulin drips, heparin drips, and drips to titrate HR\n • Perform IV insertion and care, central line management, wound care, and post-op monitoring\n • Provide cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation\n • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and conduct discharge planning and patient education\n • EMR: EPIC; IV Pump: Alaris; Med Dispensing: Pyxis; Monitors: Philips\n • Unit equipment includes vital sign monitors, bladder scanners, portable oxygen systems, external fixators, chest tubes, JP drains, Hemovac drains, glucommander, PCA pain management, and suction machines\n • May float to all adult Med Surg/Telemetry units within the facility\n • Scrub color: Navy for RN\n Facility:\n This facility is a 637-licensed-bed teaching hospital with a Level 1 Trauma Designation, Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center. The Med Surg/Tele unit consists of 35 beds operating at full census capacity. The department is well-supported with CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, a PICC team, discharge nurses, resource team floats, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, intensivists, and a Central Telemetry Unit available around the clock.\n Location:\n Macon, GA\n Macon is a vibrant city in central Georgia known for its rich history, Southern charm, and thriving arts and music scene, famously celebrated during the annual Cherry Blossom Festival.
