Senior Director of Accounting & Finance

Job Title: Senior Director of Accounting & Finance Location: San Antonio, TX Type: Direct Hire Work Model: On-Site Responsibilities Lead the Company's accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, treasury, tax compliance, and audit coordination. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information and support strategic decision-making through budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Manage critical accounting processes such as month-end close, accounts receivable/invoicing, accounts payable, sales tax, payroll entries, general ledger, fixed assets, accruals, and capital project accounting. Develop and mentor the accounting team, providing leadership, coaching, performance management, and oversight to ensure timely and accurate financial activities. Collaborate with external auditors and manage relationships with tax and property tax consultants to ensure compliance and optimization. Oversee cash management, forecasting cash needs, and managing bank relationships. Identify and implement process improvements, system enhancements, and automation to improve efficiency and scalability. Prepare financial reports and analysis, highlight trends, and develop forecasts in collaboration with leadership. Manage annual budget preparation and monitoring. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field and CPA required. 5+ years of experience in full-service accounting roles, performing responsibilities described above. 5+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, with midstream experience highly preferred. Demonstrated success managing and developing accounting professionals. Experience working with public accounting and/or consulting a plus. Strong knowledge of GAAP and analytical skills. ERP experience, preferably with NetSuite. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and lead initiatives. Willingness to travel monthly within Texas and occasionally domestically.
