Job Title: Rehabilitation Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rehab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have Skills/Experience: Floor nursing experience Description: Rehabilitation Client provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The facility is accredited by recognized organizations for inpatient rehabilitation. The hospital was nationally ranked in the top percentile of rehab hospitals for a prior year. The hospital incorporates unique features designed to promote recuperation outside the traditional hospital setting. These features include a brain-injury unit with monitored rooms, specialized beds, patient lifts, and dedicated therapy space. There is also a dedicated stroke care unit with specialized equipment. The facility includes gymnasiums featuring high-tech therapy devices and treatments and private rooms with family-friendly accommodations. Patients and families can practice daily living tasks in a special apartment. Pet therapy and recreational programs are available to enhance rehabilitation. An outdoor healing garden and walking trail assist in the rehabilitation process. The unit has a total of 60 beds with a patient ratio of 7:1. The equipment includes workstation on wheels and patient lifts. The EHR system used is EPIC and UDS. The patient population served is primarily adults. Candidates should embody organization values and possess a strong background in floor nursing. Preferred experience in rehab nursing is beneficial.
