Bilingual HR Assistant

HR Assistant Employment type : Contract to Hire Location : 100% onsite near Bellwood IL Hours : Monday - Friday, standard business hours Pay rate : $24-26/hour Join our team as an HR Assistant, supporting recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day HR operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while delivering an exceptional employee and candidate experience. Key Responsibilities Coordinate recruiting activities, including resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication. Preparing offer letters and coordinating pre-employment requirements in ATS tools Attending job fairs, hiring events and community outreach activities for TA Support onboarding, background checks, new hire paperwork, and employee records management. Maintain HRIS and ATS data while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations. Provide administrative support for union and non-union employees, including required postings and documentation, new hire materials and records. Provide administrative support for HR operations, employee lifecycle activities, and labor relations documentation. Assist with HR communications, reporting, and employee support. Qualifications 2+ years of HR experience Experience supporting recruiting and onboarding preferred. Familiarity with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality. Microsoft Office proficiency required. Spanish bilingual skills are a plus. Preferred: Associate's degree in HR, Business, or related field and/or HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP).
