POSITION SUMMARY:

The MRI Technologist I cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. In addition, the technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care. Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High School Diploma/ GED
• Graduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology or MRI accredited program.

Licensure/ Certification:

• BLS American Heart Association
• ARRT (MR) Advanced certification in MRI or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or must obtain within one year of hire if not currently registered.

Other Skills/ Knowledge:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

• 2 years' radiography experience
• 1 year MRI experience.
