Director of Sourcing

An established and growing children's-apparel brand is seeking a hands-on sourcing leader to take ownership of a high-volume product category. The role offers visibility with senior leadership and meaningful influence across sourcing, production and product development. You will manage hundreds of SKUs, overseas factory relationships, negotiations and delivery execution. The position provides room to expand across categories as the business and team evolve. Who You Are You have 5-10+ years of sourcing experience You bring deep children's-apparel expertise You understand off-price or big-box retail and its pricing expectations You have managed hundreds of SKUs and overseas factory relationships You are experienced with international travel and hands-on negotiations You can lead teams while remaining closely involved in execution Familiarity with leading off-price retailers or similar customers is preferred What You'll Do Own sourcing and buying for a high-volume children's-apparel portfolio Manage hundreds of SKUs across product-development and production cycles Communicate directly with overseas factories and travel internationally Negotiate pricing while balancing quality, timelines and commercial needs Lead production and product-development resources Monitor delivery execution and resolve issues across teams What Success Looks Like High SKU volumes remain organized and on schedule Factory communication, negotiations and delivery follow-through are consistently strong Sourcing, production and product development operate with clear accountability Product is executed effectively within a fast-moving off-price environment Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 base + 15-25% bonus (annually based on experience) Location: New York, NY (Hybrid) Gainor is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
