Ignite Communication in the Heart of the Bluegrass State – Step Into Your New Role as a Speech Language Pathologist
Overview
Imagine a career path that brings your purpose to life — quite literally. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the thriving community of Louisville, KY, your work transcends mere diagnosis and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. You will unlock potential in individuals of all ages, from enthusiastic toddlers forming their first words to elderly individuals striving to regain autonomy and connection through speech.
This position offers a truly rewarding chance to serve a diverse population in a setting that artfully balances outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient responsibilities. Whether your passion lies in helping young children with language milestones, assisting adults with neurological communication challenges, or supporting seniors with cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you will discover endless fulfillment and adaptability in your approach here.
Description
- Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using standardized testing and observational analysis.
- Craft individualized treatment plans that target both short-term and long-term needs for communication, cognitive skills, or swallowing functions.

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop unified care strategies.
- Provide education for patients and families to empower their ongoing progress beyond the clinical setting.
- Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout therapy.
- Maintain precise and timely records according to state, federal, and organizational regulations.

- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
Skills
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities across all ages, with a solid understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to modify therapy techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards.
Benefits
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Flexible scheduling options promoting work-life balance and varied caseloads.
- Potential to specialize in various areas, including pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.

A Career That Transforms Lives
In your role here, you won't simply deliver speech therapy — you will immerse yourself in a mission to empower voices, enhance communication, and carve out moments of joy through the profound connections we share: both in speaking and listening.
You will be part of a compassionate team, treating each other like family, in an environment that believes in collaboration rather than competition. Each patient carries a unique story; we entrust you to help narrate it with care and skill.
Why You Will Adore Living and Working in Louisville
Louisville offers an exhilarating lifestyle that blends contemporary innovation with southern warmth and charm. This city is a delightful balance of natural beauty, creative culture, and extensive opportunities. Nestled alongside the meandering Ohio River, it provides ample opportunities for exploration and enjoyment in and around the water.
The community comes alive with festivals, cultural events, and a thriving culinary scene, where food enthusiasts can savor everything from iconic hot chicken to luxurious dining experiences. Residents engage in outdoor activities year-round, whether it's strolling through the expansive parks or treating themselves to the relaxing ambiance of local breweries.
Art and creativity pulse through the streets of Louisville, from vibrant street art to historic venues showcasing local talent. For those in professional spheres, the advantages extend beyond fulfilling work and lifestyle — with no state income tax, affordable living expenses, and a burgeoning healthcare sector, making it an exceptional region for advancing your career.
Whether you're just starting your career or looking to expand your horizons as a seasoned professional, you will find a nurturing environment ripe for personal and professional growth.
Who We Seek
We are in search of a committed Speech Language Pathologist driven by empathy as much as outcomes. Someone who perceives a shy child as a canvas for future expression or hears the struggles of a stroke survivor as a testament of resilience to be nurtured.
If you have a specialty in pediatrics but wish to broaden your skill set to include adult services or a strong focus on neuro-based therapy with a yearning to integrate early intervention, we are eager to welcome your talents.
No matter your passion, if you are ready to serve with heart and deliver with expertise, we are excited to meet you.
Let's Create Meaningful Connections Together
If you understand that speech is far beyond mere sounds, and therapy is much more than a series of tasks — if you embrace the foundation of trust while pursuing goals and find joy in laughter as much as language — this may be your next career chapter waiting to unfold.
Join us in a vibrant community that celebrates connection, understanding, and the courage it takes to embark on new beginnings. Apply today and add your voice to our enthusiastic team — assisting others in discovering their own.
