This role primarily focuses on providing specialized mental health care to individuals affected by trauma, including those experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Work Environment\n

As a remote position, this role allows you to work from the comfort of your home while being part of a collaborative team dedicated to mental health care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history and identify suitable therapeutic approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and coping strategies tailored to each patient’s unique experiences.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate the healing process.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to process their trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for each patient.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate care and stabilization for affected individuals.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, available resources, and effective coping strategies.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, while contributing to case consultations and team meetings.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma-informed care and therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on serving individuals affected by trauma, including but not limited to those suffering from PTSD and complex emotional and psychological difficulties resulting from adverse life events. Clients will often present with a range of symptoms that require specialized, trauma-informed interventions and ongoing support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and competence in trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to convey empathy and support in challenging situations.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and a strong ability to work independently while remaining part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a focus on trauma-informed therapies and client-centered care.

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
