Forklift Operator

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Forklift Operator role in Forest Grove, OR. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and stage materials and finished products.
• Inspect forklifts daily and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of goods.
• Organize and maintain inventory in warehouse storage areas, following FIFO (first in, first out) procedures when applicable.
• Conduct quality and quantity checks on incoming and outgoing materials to ensure order accuracy.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Collaborate with warehouse and production team members to meet daily operational and shipping goals.
• Accurately document inventory movement, shipping records, and equipment logs as required.
• Promptly report equipment issues, safety hazards, or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior forklift or warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and accuracy.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and reliability.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety practices is a plus, but training will be provided.
