Position Title: Social Services Department Manager Shift: Days Position Summary: The Social Services Department Manager, reporting to the Director of Case Management, is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Social Services Department. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating all operational activities, including policy development, quality improvement programs, budgeting, staffing, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Manager also fosters positive employee engagement, maintains acceptable turnover rates, and ensures departmental operations run within budgetary guidelines. Additionally, they are responsible for implementing quality and performance improvement activities, maintaining positive customer satisfaction results, and fostering productive relationships with physicians. Education: Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) License/Certifications: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred Experience: 2 years of general acute care experience Evidence of competency in Social Services, with progressive acute care management experience preferred Experience in trauma/stroke and homelessness case management/discharge planning preferred Knowledge/Skills: Ability to manage department employee regulations and HR issues Proficiency in working at a fast pace, prioritizing multiple assignments/projects, and responding to numerous requests Ability to make decisions under pressure and manage stress appropriately Strong interpersonal skills to work with a diverse mix of people Proficiency in Microsoft Office, computer skills, and relevant software Additional Information: LCSW CA License REQUIRED Acute Care Experience REQUIRED Must have experience with understanding laws about discharging homeless patients, trauma assessments, and managing social issues #J-18808-Ljbffr Zunch Staffing
