CNC Machinist 2nd Shift

Position Summary Central Service Technician - Part Time Days (7 am-3 pm, rotating weekends and holidays) Job Responsibilities Decontamination and Infection Control: Transport contaminated items to and from the department safely and in accordance with established policies and procedures; ensure that all equipment is decontaminated and tested prior to patient use; wear protective equipment; operate washer-sterilizer; visually inspect all instruments and equipment when received and after cleaning; clean wire carts daily; recognize and adhere to infection control policies. Packaging, Storage and Transport: Check all packages for sterility; transport sterile items in accordance with departmental policies; recognize and identify instruments; follow guidelines for sterile storage; assemble and package trays and instruments according to guidelines; assemble equipment for patient use. Par Locations: Perform inventory of par locations daily; restock supplies from departmental inventory within 45 minutes per location; decrement inventory using hand-held terminals; enter shipping feedback information; identify needs of units served; maintain par locations and levels to meet unit needs. Sterilization: Label trays and items for sterilization; monitor mechanical indicators; process biological indicators and log information accurately; operate machinery according to manufacturer guidelines; load sterilizer to ensure proper steam circulation. Clerical Responsibilities: Complete requisitions for supplies; decrement inventory and report discrepancies; enter shipping feedback after requisition fill; deliver supplies to units according to schedule; communicate professionally; perform cycle-counts for inventory. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Good customer service skills. Proficient computer knowledge and detail oriented. Certified CRCST or must obtain by the 18th monthly anniversary of the position start date. (Prior to 1/1/2011, 10 hours of continuing education required annually; between 1/11/2011 and 1/1/2015, evidence of one year employment in a healthcare facility within four years prior to 1/1/2015.) Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Able to push and pull more than 100 pounds continuously; lift more than 75 pounds occasionally; bend, squat, and occasionally climb steps/ladder; walk and stand for majority of work time.
