Job Overview – Temporary Staff Accountant (Remote):Compensation: $40 – $45/hourLocation: Remote RoleSchedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Step into a high-impact opportunity as a Temporary Staff Accountant (Remote), supporting general ledger operations, financial reporting, and process improvements for our client. In this remote role, you’ll handle balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, internal controls, and audit support, while leveraging tools like SAP, Blackline, and BPC. This position is ideal for accounting professionals with experience in GAAP, SOX compliance, and corporate accounting environments. Responsibilities as the Temporary Staff Accountant: Accounting & Close Support: Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules related to monthly close and corporate transactions. GAAP & Ledger Accuracy: Ensure compliance with GAAP by reviewing general ledger details and recording necessary adjustments. Internal Controls & SOX: Support the implementation and monitoring of internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance procedures. Audit & Cross-Functional Support: Provide documentation for audits and collaborate with departments to ensure accurate transaction recording. Process Optimization: Assist in improving accounting procedures and system workflows to enhance reporting accuracy. Qualifications for the Temporary Staff Accountant: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required. Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on accounting experience in corporate or public accounting, with exposure to monthly close and financial reporting processes. Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with preferred experience in SAP, Blackline, and BPC for financial reporting and process automation. Skills & Attributes: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a remote setting.
