In addition to ITW’s industry leading research and development capabilities, ITW Deltar Fasteners enhance our customers’ competitive advantage by…Maintaining advanced engineering and manufacturing facilities in NA.Exchanging product, process and benchmarking information with sister units worldwide.Continually improving processes, material and designs to ensure every product exceeds customer specifications while providing unparalleled value.Position Summary:The Manufacturing Manager will report the Plant Manager and will manage activities of manufacturing cells, including Plastics and Assembly areas, to achieve key performance metrics through maximum efficiency consistent with profit, quality, personnel, and safety objectives of the division.Primary Responsibilities:Oversee and develop shift cell leaders/supervisors, including performance reviewsDevelop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules and proceduresMonitor, track, and drive accountability for key performance indicators (KPIs)Develop short-term and long-term plans for process improvementsCoordinate first time tool-runs, perform rigorous mold try-outs, and start up full-scale productionActive in the review of machine safety and corrective measuresEstablish quality standards as related to materialsEstablish, document, verify, and maintain optimum processing parameters and establish upper and lower control limits for process monitoring systemPromote and sustain employee engagement initiatives that foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture focused on operational excellenceDemonstrates servant leadership by helping employees and ITW reach their full potential.Actively communicate with plant personnel to improve quality and efficiency in productionWork with management in establishing strategic plans for continued process improvementMonitor and understand new technologies to improve quality and efficiencyPerform quality tasks as per TS16949 Quality ProgramFollows all safety guidelines and assist as needed in other areas of manufacturingOther tasks and duties as assignedPosition Skills and Experience Requirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
