Material Handler

Overview Position: Warehouse Material Handler (Full-Time) Location: Etna, Ohio Ryder is immediately hiring a Full Time Warehouse Material Handler in Etna, Ohio. Responsibilities Perform warehouse functions which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract and maintain accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks. Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading). Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours of production. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred. Valid Forklift Operator's License certified. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to work within a diverse environment. Ability to create and maintain professional relationships across all levels of the organization. Highly thorough and dependable; punctual with good attendance. Performs work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrates initiative. Demonstrates accuracy under pressure and attention to detail. Physical ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods. Flexibility to work on various shifts as required. Benefits & Schedule Hourly pay: $20.00 per hour; Overtime pay: $30.00 per hour when working overtime. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
