Title: Physician PRN Location: Indian Health Clinic - 703 NE Hancock St., Portland, OR 97212 & Wellness Center - 12360 E Burnside St., Portland, OR 97233 Schedule: This is an in-person PRN / as-needed position, Monday through Friday. Hours are flexible and can vary between 0 - 40 per week depending on availability and clinic needs. - Provide coverage and support for the clinic operations on an as-needed basis, including provider absences and fluctuations in patient demand.
- Provide comprehensive primary health care services defined as holistic health care which the client receives at the first point of contact with the health care system and in continuous and comprehensive and included the following; health promotion; prevention of disease and disability; health maintenance; rehabilitation; identification, diagnosis and management of health problems; and referral to other providers as appropriate. (Oregon Revised Statutes, Chapter 678, Division 50)
- Provide clinical treatment of acute and chronic illnesses and minor injuries.
- Evaluate medical histories and perform routine health maintenance examinations for children and adults within the physician's scope of practice.
- Coordinate the care the patient receives from other providers and agencies and advocates for the patient within the health care system.
- Maintain commitment to providing culturally-sensitive care.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program (ACGME or AOA).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
- Oregon Medical License or ability to obtain.
- Current DEA registration or ability to obtain.
- Current CPR card.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients, the community, and other staff members.
- Must pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests.
- Must pass criminal background and DMV checks.
