Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive therapy services in an acute care hospital setting. This full-time contract role involves working with adult patients, including geriatrics, with a focus on Dysphagia management and bedside swallow evaluations.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and diagnose patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Perform bedside swallow evaluations and modify diet and thickening agents accordingly.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients.
• Document assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in Meditech Expanse system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal care.
• Educate patients and families on dysphagia management and safety precautions.

Qualifications:

• Hold CCC-SLP certification and valid MA State License.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of clinical experience, including charge responsibilities.
• Possess BLS certification.
• Experience managing patients with stroke and infectious respiratory diseases.
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication system and Meditech Expanse documentation.
• Proven ability to work with a patient ratio of 1:15 in a hospital environment.
