Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is required within the last 18 months.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience: Floating experience does not count toward experience requirement. Correctional facility experience does not count toward experience requirement.

Special Requests: Travel pairs cannot request the same schedule. Cannot have an employment gap in the past 4+ months. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Start dates are not flexible.

Unit Details: Patient ratios: days 1:5-6; nights 1:6. Mostly medical patients: pneumonia, COPD, radiation patients, AKI, occasional lap chole and appendectomy. Heparin and Lasix drips are non-titrated. Charge nurse is sometimes free but may take an assignment if needed. PCA support available; 8-12 patients per PCA. Equipment/patient care includes BiPAP and stable trach patients. Dedicated monitor tech on unit; travelers do not need to read telemetry.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 per week only; additional shifts may be available. Maximum RTO: 5 days per assignment. Every other weekend. Typically 2/3 holidays. Low census on-call.

Floating Requirements: Float to Med Surg, stable low acuity ICU, RDU, and Foothills clinic RDU.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
