Yard Switch Trucker

Start your new career as a Yard Switch Trucker with MAU at GITI Tires in Richburg, SC. As a Yard Switch Trucker, you will safely operate a yard truck to move trailers, assist with loading operations, and ensure efficient yard and dock operations.

What We’re Looking For:

High school diploma or GED
CDL-A license in good standing
2+ years of CDL Class A driving experience
Sit-down forklift experience
Satisfactory driving record
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with individuals at different levels
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (2-2-3 schedule, day or night)
Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including non-climate-controlled conditions
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally, with frequent lifting of 30–50 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and balance for extended periods
Vision abilities, including close, distance, and peripheral vision with depth perception

What You’ll Do as a Yard Switch Trucker:

Operate yard trucks (yard dog or day cab) to move trailers within the facility yard
Load, secure, and unload cargo as needed
Maintain communication with the site regarding pickup instructions and schedule changes
Assist team members with loading tires when required
Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on time
Demonstrate willingness to learn new skills and processes
Maintain reliable attendance in accordance with company policies
Work collaboratively with team members and provide excellent customer service
Perform additional duties as assigned
