Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join their team in Cambridge, Ohio. This role involves supporting and expanding the firm's presence in the region, focusing on client relationships and community engagement. The position offers the opportunity to develop a meaningful practice with the support of an established firm. Duties Represent individuals, families, and businesses with professionalism and integrity. Communicate effectively with clients regarding case progress and outcomes. Manage casework, including drafting, research, negotiations, and court appearances. Prepare pleadings, legal memoranda, and correspondence. Maintain organized and compliant case files using firm systems. Build relationships within the local community through networking and involvement. Collaborate with support staff and other attorneys across the firm. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) and active Ohio Bar admission required. 3-5+ years of legal experience in general practice, transactional, or litigation. Strong communication, organization, and time management skills. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Interest in building a client base and community presence. Experience with legal technology such as Clio and Microsoft Office. Valid driver's license for regional travel. Education Juris Doctor (JD) Certifications Active Ohio Bar admission Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational and time management abilities.
