Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 2 Years Minimum License: Active Nursing License Certifications: BLS, NRPF Must-Have: Required Experience: 2 Years of Experience Travel Experience Required Does Not Accept First-Time Travelers Floating May Be Required to NICU or L&D Weekends Required to Meet Staffing Needs Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care for post-partum patients, including those who have had vaginal or cesarean deliveries, tubal ligations, and circumcisions. The nurse will assist with GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery care. The role requires competency in a variety of medical procedures and equipment, including CPAP/BiPap, blood and blood product administration, and other essential nursing skills. The nurse will have responsibilities related to drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vacs. The position requires the ability to administer medications such as heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate. Additionally, the nurse will scrub and circulate for C-sections, assist in labor and delivery, and attend all deliveries. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for effective interdisciplinary support. This role supports patients ranging from infants to adults in a dynamic and challenging environment. A focus on providing high-quality care and fostering positive patient experiences is crucial.
