Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite
Pay: $35–$55/hour, based on experience
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Marine Electrician to join an established South Florida yacht service organization. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated private and charter yachts ranging from approximately 50 to 250+ feet in a professional, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and commission AC/DC marine electrical systems
- Work with power distribution panels, switchboards, transfer switches, transformers, and shore power
- Perform marine electrical and electronics installations and diagnostics
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications
- Perform cable routing, terminations, testing, and commissioning
- Troubleshoot navigation, communication, monitoring, and vessel electrical systems
- Complete accurate field reports and technical documentation
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other marine trades
Qualifications
- 5+ years of marine electrical experience on yachts, commercial vessels, or military/government vessels
- Strong experience with marine electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Experience with electrical distribution and commissioning
- Ability to independently read wiring diagrams and schematics
- ABYC certification preferred , or willingness to obtain certification
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be comfortable working onsite in Dania Beach, FL
