Work Environment\nThis position is designed for a full-time schedule, allowing for flexible work hours from 8 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday. With options for either 4x10 or 5x8 shifts, our organization values work-life balance and understands the importance of scheduling flexibility for our staff. As a remote role, you will have the ability to work effectively while connecting with clients in various formats, ensuring that high-quality care is always accessible.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Provide individual psychotherapy and counseling services to students, using evidence-based practices to address mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and interpersonal challenges. \n
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to gather and synthesize social, personal, and emotional information to support treatment and intervention decisions. \n
- Evaluate clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure alignment with their evolving needs and circumstances. \n
- Coordinate with school staff, families, and community resources to create supportive care plans that engage all stakeholders in the student’s mental health journey. \n
- Document client interactions meticulously in compliance with legal and ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality and securing accurate client records. \n
- Facilitate crisis interventions, leveraging strong assessment skills to determine immediate needs, followed by appropriate referrals to specialized services. \n
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, share insights, and formulate collaborative care strategies. \n
- Maintain a manageable caseload, ensuring that each case is documented, updated, and reflective of the services provided. \n
- Engage in professional development to stay current with best practices and new interventions within the field of social work and psychology. \n
Your primary focus will be on working with students in a school setting, many of whom may face challenges related to learning difficulties, emotional disturbances, and environmental factors impacting their academic and social success. You will collaborate with children and adolescents, providing a safe space to discuss their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, while also involving their families when appropriate to create a holistic support system.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required. \n
- Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in Virginia is essential. \n
- Strong knowledge of child and adolescent developmental stages and mental health issues. \n
- \n
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, particularly with a focus on behavioral health in children and adolescents. \n
- Demonstrated experience in crisis intervention and the management of mental health conditions, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, and family dynamics. \n
- Familiarity with school systems and the specific challenges faced by students within educational environments is preferred. \n
This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 104,000, reflective of experience and qualifications. Additionally, new hires may be eligible for a sign-on bonus to support your integration into our team.
