Pediatric Geneticist

An exciting opportunity is available for a Pediatrician to take on a 120-day assignment in Washington focusing on pediatric genetics. The position involves predominantly outpatient clinic work from Monday through Friday, 8a to 5p, with a manageable patient volume of four per day. The clinician will address complex genetic disorders, conduct new consults and follow-ups, and counsel families within a multidisciplinary team setting. Practice Info Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only) EMR: Epic Patients per day: 4 Staffing Mix: Multidisciplinary team including genetic counselors, nursing, dietitians/metabolic nutrition, and other pediatric subspecialists Responsibilities Provide predominantly clinic/outpatient care for pediatric patients Manage a diverse range of pediatric genetics cases and metabolic disorders Address genetic disorders, chromosomal abnormalities, congenital anomalies, developmental delay/intellectual disability, dysmorphic features, inherited disorders, and abnormal genetic testing Conduct new patient consults and established follow-ups Review and interpret genetic testing results Order appropriate genetic/metabolic testing Establish diagnoses and develop comprehensive treatment and monitoring plans Counsel families regarding complex genetic conditions and implications Compensation Strong compensation Benefits Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Shift & Schedule 120-day assignment Monday–Friday, typically 8a - 5p Call Schedule: TBD, not required for this role, but may become needed Qualifications Board Certifications: Pediatrics Other Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Experience: Pediatric genetics and preferable biochemical genetics experience
