Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant supports patient rehabilitation programs by assisting licensed therapists with implementing treatment plans. This role involves working closely with patients to promote healing and improve mobility.

Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed therapists in delivering patient care according to established treatment plans.
• Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure the proper use of equipment.
• Educate patients on exercises and rehabilitation strategies to promote recovery.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols and state licensing requirements during patient interactions.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid California Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills with patients and team members.
• Show proficiency in patient assessment and documentation.
• Be able to work day shifts, with availability for one weekend per month.
• Exhibit a strong adherence to professional standards and protocols.
