The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center seeks a Medical Director for its School Based Health Centers. Description Job Title: Medical Director School Based Health Centers Grade: Faculty Reports to: Division Chief, Adolescent Medicine, Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center Primary Purpose: The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center (“MSAHC” or the “Center”) provides care and wellness for young people by providing vital services - high quality, comprehensive, integrated and confidential - for all who come to the Center or school-based health facilities, at no cost to them. The MSAHC advances adolescent and young adult health as a national imperative by serving as a leading center of clinical care, specialized training, innovative research and advocacy. The School Based Health Center (“SBHC”) Medical Director is responsible for overseeing the operations of the School-Based Health Center program and works collaboratively with MSAHC Deputy Medical Directors to ensure that medical services at the MSAHC School Based Health Centers are developed and managed in accordance with MSAHC’s mission, strategic direction and business position. The School Based Health Medical Director will direct activities of the medical and mental health staff and ensure that services are delivered in accordance with Mount Sinai’s policies and procedures, New York State regulations and guidelines, funder guidelines, and established best practices in adolescent medicine. In conjunction with the Deputy Medical Directors of the MSAHC the SBHC Medical Director will establish, approve, and implement policies related to the provision of medical services within the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center School Based Health Centers.
